Love & Community The academic rigor at Holy Cross is important, but the lifelong lessons of unconditional love and community are what truly endure.
Love & Community
"The academic rigor and discipline that I experienced at Holy Cross were very important, and helped prepare me for success in graduate school and in my wonderful career."
"The most important part of my time at the College, however, was the love and support that my friends – especially the Mulledy 4 girls who I lived with for virtually my entire time there – provided to me."
The Lesson of Unconditional Love
When Ellen Gilmore Wilson '76 found herself alone during her junior year, those friends taught her the biggest lesson Holy Cross had to offer: unconditional love. That love and those lessons have remained with her for 50 years since graduation.
Supporting Holy Cross as a member of The 1843 Legacy Society is a logical and meaningful way to give back to the community that gave so much. By planning a bequest, you can care for your loved ones now while supporting future generations of students.
Some advantages of creating a bequest from your estate include:
- A bequest costs nothing now, yet gives you the satisfaction of knowing you have provided for Holy Cross in the future.
- You retain control of and use of your assets during your lifetime.
- You may modify your bequest if your circumstances change.
- Gifts to Holy Cross from your estate are exempt from federal estate taxes.
